This home was perfect for our Fall getaway. We traveled with family, including young kids and found the property comfortable, spotless and close to town. Deer came close enough to the home that sharing apples and carrots was easy and exciting for the kids and adults alike. We were minutes from Banner Elk and within 30-40 minutes of nearby attractions, including Grandfather Mountain, Linn Cove Viaduct and Tanawha trail, Elk River Falls and Tweetsie's amusement park. Be aware that the road leading to the home is gravelly and a little steep. But, aside from that this was an excellent choice in accommodations. We highly recommend!

The Life’s a Beech cottage is a great rental. The location can’t be beat … three miles to either Banner Elk or Beech and not much further than that to Grandfather Mt. At the same time, it’s in a peaceful quiet setting with deer galore. The house is very nicely decorated and had all the amenities anyone would need. Communication with Kacey and Sean was easy and timely. We had a great few days with family and will definitely rent the home again when back in the area!

We had a perfect weekend at this mountain cabin with our extended family! The home was spotless, cozy, and welcoming, with thoughtful touches and great amenities that made our stay extra comfortable. The layout was ideal — the kids loved having their own bunk room, and the adults appreciated the privacy of separate bedrooms. Having four bathrooms was a huge bonus! The game room and firepit were favorites for evening fun, and we spent plenty of time relaxing on the porch, enjoying the apple tree and watching deer stop by for a snack — such a peaceful and magical setting. We also loved gathering around the large kitchen table for meals and games. The location couldn’t have been better — tucked away and quiet, yet just minutes from downtown Banner Elk, with easy drives to Boone and Grandfather Mountain. We highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing family getaway!

Great home! Super comfy & welcoming! Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate for our hiking plans, but we really enjoyed spending the day in downtown Boone, North Carolina! Great host to work with, we unfortunately had to check out a day early due to a family members back home being hospitalized, hosts were able to modify our reservations accordingly. We definitely look forward to coming back, hoping to for fall break!

Beautiful mountain house with a beautiful view—- this house was perfect a mountains trip for two families! The location was great, only a few miles from downtown with plenty to do and see. The kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed room, running around the backyard and watching the deer who visited daily to eat apples from the tree in the backyard! The house was clean and well stocked with dishes, coffee, spices etc. which came in handy! Plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. Kacey and Sean were easy to communicate with and helpful as well. We can’t wait to come back next summer!!

Wonderful place, Loved the outdoor nature with the deer and the peaceful setting even with 4 couples together . Each couple had their own space with bedroom and bath. And great area to gather for activities. A place I would return to enjoy the mountains.

Our stay was excellent! The house and furnishings were gorgeous! I loved all of the stone work. The outside was really nice with the porches to sit on. Had a great area with fire pit. They thought of everything.. the kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms were provided with shampoo and conditioner, plenty of towels. It was located close to downtown Banner Elk and our favorite restaurant there (Sorentos) Will be a great place to revisit! Thanks Kacey and Sean Patrick, Terri, MacKenzie and Logan Joyner
